Steinway & Sons 6’1″ model A (1889, Factory Restored)
Rare & wonderful Victorian Steinway & Sons model A piano for sale. Built in NYC in 1889, this Brazilian Rosewood piano returned to the Steinway factory in 1997 for a full restoration. Completed in June 1998, we have Steinway’s certificate of restoration. After spending the last few decades at a fine home here in Atlanta, this instrument has been freshly serviced and, with additional care given to the satin rosewood finish, is ready for a new home.
Warm and lush, this early model A still offers modern performance but with a tone not found in modern instruments…even modern Steinway pianos. This instrument balances rich complexity with a centered clarity, making it a perfect home instrument. And because it was fully restored by the Steinway factory including new Steinway action parts, new fully-fit pinblock, new soundboard and bridges, and showing little wear since, the piano is perfectly capable of professional levels of use.
In addition to the restoration history, we also have the complete provenance of this piano since it was first ordered by a prominent Atlanta family in 1889. This piano was central to the musical life of an actress that starred in over 20 plays and 5 films. It is our sincere hope that this instrument will continue this legacy and inspire yet another artist. To experience this piano is to go back in time.
No longer available in Brazilian Rosewood, New York list price for a Steinway model A in East Indian Rosewood is $210,200. To further offer this model and finish in a similar art case would exceed $300,000.
Includes adjustable bench, 3 year PianoWorks parts & labor warranty, documented provenance.
Estonia pianos are rare gems, but rarer still is their “Hidden Beauty” model. In the “Hidden Beauty,” the fine polished ebony finish is combined with carefully selected accents of highly figured bubinga veneer only visible when the piano is fully opened. The matching accents are on the fallboard, the music desk, on the under side of the lid, and finally surrounding the inner rim of the piano. The combination is uniquely elegant.
Available in all models including L168 (shown) & L190 (most popular).
Pre-Owned Yamaha model C7X for sale. Made in Japan in 2015, this 7’6″ semi-concert grand piano from Yamaha is the latest iteration of this iconic model. The Yamaha model C7’s many iterations going back to 1960’s have become the most recorded piano on the planet. It is, not surprisingly, a great and versatile grand piano.
This example is in pristine, “like-new” condition inside and out. Freshly polished, serviced, regulated and voiced, this piano arrives with the benefits of a gently broken in piano, making it both more stable and letting it perform at its very best.
Ideal for all types of professional use, the C7X is well suited for a small hall, recording studio, church sanctuary or concert stage. Many C7X will also grace the homes of devoted musicians that just love a great Yamaha piano.
If New, Retail price for Yamaha C7X is $92,399.

An American Classic, this pre-owned Baldwin model L was made for serious musicians. At 6’3″ in length, this piano offers a full dynamic range and a broad spectrum of tonal colors.
Refurbished by PianoWorks, this Artist Series grand previously spent decades in a home collecting dust.
For decades, Baldwin was the largest piano maker in the world, and the success of their Artist models propelled them to recruit the biggest artists for the grandest stages. This Baldwin comes from the height of their power and reputation.
Sadly, corporate mismanagement ravaged the company before it was sold off and production went fully overseas. However, it’s Baldwin’s recent history that makes these wonderful American made classics so undervalued in the market and a perfect opportunity to find this premium instrument on a budget.
The last time this model was available from US factory (nearly 20 years ago) a Baldwin L retailed for $48,480.
Includes matching storage bench, 3 year PianoWorks parts & labor warranty
Pre-Owned Yamaha 7’4″ model C7D for sale. Originally made in Japan in 1980, this model transformed the recording industry to become the most recorded piano in history. This was one of those pianos…
Used in a private church recording studio since new, this piano is in incredible condition inside and out. This is an ideal life for a piano: strict climate controls, regular maintenance to ensure peak performance. PianoWorks lightly refubished this instrument to bring it to its full potential, but it is all original.
This Yamaha C7 is an ideal musician’s piano on a budget and could easily go right back into recording studio work.
If New, current model C7x retails for $92,399.
Includes 3 year PianoWorks parts & labor warranty + your choice of Hidrau adjustable bench (pictured) or matching Yamaha duet bench w/storage.
