Vogel 5’10” model V177T (2005) by Schimmel

Pre-owned Vogel grand piano, model V177T, for sale.  This pre-owned 5’10” grand piano was produced in Europe in one of Schimmel’s factories in 2005.  The Vogel brand was part of Schimmel’s original expansion plans in the early 2000’s, and the pianos have since been re-badged as Wilhelm Schimmel.

This handmade European piano features an ultra-responsive German Renner action.  It’s tone is warm while clear; its voice is colorful and easy to control.  The instrument is in outstanding condition, freshly serviced by our team and ready for a new home.

The original owner also upgraded to a Jansen artist bench ($900 value)

If NEW, the retail price for the equivalent new model from Wilhelm Schimmel is $51,206 (Piano Buyer, Spring 2023).

Includes Jansen artist bench, 5 year PianoWorks warranty.

Brand: Schimmel

Price: $14999

Description

Overseen and trained by Schimmel, using their same soundboards and German Renner action parts, Vogel pianos were built by hand in Poland using all European components and craftsmanship.  Vogel translates to “song bird” in German, and shares its name with then Schimmel CEO, Hannes Schimmel-Vogel.

Part of Schimmel’s brand expansion, the factory in Kalisz (located just a few hours from their home factory in Braunschweig, Germany) allowed Schimmel to bring their quality and vision to even more customers around the world.  After several years experimenting with their brand lineup including May Berlin (Schimmel’s entry level), Vogel (limited to just 4 models), and Schimmel’s different series, Schimmel re-badged the different lines into Fredolin Schimmel (Schimmel’s entry level), Wilhelm Schimmel (formerly Vogel), and Schimmel.

The result of all of this branding and marketing is that this particular 5’10” Vogel model V177T is an absolute bargain…a premium handmade European grand for a fraction of the cost of a mass-produced Japanese competitor.

To play it is to immediately experience the difference.  Make your appointment today.
