Since 1849, Seiler has made many of the finest pianos for homes and small halls. This famed German maker has a legacy of innovation and adaptation supporting generations of musicians. This piano is yet another rare find from PianoWorks, and a little history will set the stage. Twelve years ago, Seiler expanded their offerings to a multitude of lines. In addition to their traditional German line, they added clones of their best German models made in Indonesia. The German SE126 design was also assembled in Indonesia to create the popular ED126, part of the ED Series. This piano was part of that early brand expansion as they tried different lines and price points…this ES series begins in Indonesia and is finally assembled in Germany. While the quality was excellent and the price was less than the traditional German line, Seiler USA ultimately decided they didn’t need so many models and price points. That brings us to this instrument…this legacy model was assembled in Germany in 2014. The piano spent its life at the US headquarters, used for dealer and technical training sessions.
