Pre-Owned Steinway & Sons model L grand piano for sale.  Made in NYC in 2001, this 5’10.5″ grand piano is ideal for most homes.  This piano had one adult owner and light use.  PianoWorks detailed the mahogany satin luster finish and then serviced the piano to be fresh for its next owner.  It really is in excellent condition inside and out.

Description

All Steinway pianos were originally designed in NYC. Steinway designed the model O in ~1900, and by 1922, Steinway modified their design slightly to create the model L, however by that time, the Hamburg factory wasn’t incorporating the newer Steinway designs. The Steinway model L was made continuously in NYC until 2004 when compromises between the New York and Hamburg Steinway factories led to streamlining their production. From then on, both NYC and Hamburg produced the model O. History aside, Steinway experts and historians consider the two models L/O to be equivalent…but as far as the Steinway family goes, the model L was the improved version.
