Bosendorfer 9'6" Model 290 Imperial
Of all grand pianos, the Imperial model 290, carries the Bosendorfer DNA, Bosendorfer heritage in its most pronounced form. Historically, this grand piano epitomizes the Bosendorfer grand piano of the 19th century.

Originally built following a suggestion by composer Ferruccio Busoni, the Imperial has 97 keys, i.e. eight full octaves. This expanded range allows faithful performances of a number of compositions by Bartók, Debussy, Ravel and, not least, Busoni.

Combining a very powerful sound-board and a high proportion of sound-spruce from the Fiemme Valley in
the South Tyrol, this piano’s sound is almost orchestral.  The Bosendorfer “resonating box principle” which views the entire instrument as a cohesive whole, generates unsurpassed power and a poignantly full tone. Model 290 is our only standard grand piano model to have acquired an epithet when it was first built in around 1900: Imperial (lat. imperare, to order, command).  Its commanding presence in some of the world’s great concert halls sets the standard by which other grand pianos are judged.

Bosendorfer 51" Model 130
Many people say Bosendorfer’s 130 CL model sounds like a grand piano; many think it is the best upright piano in the world.

Naturally it benefits from all the expertise of their craftsmen just as their grand pianos do. By definition it has all the advantages of an upright piano over a grand piano: it is smaller and needs less space, it is easier to acquire and is more affordable. The precision installation of the mechanics is designed to deliver optimal playability and maximum control without loss of power transmission.

Model 130 CL is a tremendously elegant design and its proportions are perfectly balanced. In other words, it
is a beauty.  It is probably the easiest way to share the exclusive, world-famous Bosendorfer name.

Roland DP-990F SuperNATURAL

SuperNATURAL® Piano

The DP-990F is enhanced with Roland’s breakthrough SuperNATURAL Piano technology. Three key elements are dramatically improved: velocity response, note decay, and key-range behavior. Where previous sample-based technology created coarse “stair-step” gaps in velocity and key range, and unnatural looping in note decay, SuperNATURAL bridges the gaps with perfectly smooth and natural three-dimensional sound and response.  Link to Video Explanation of SuperNATURAL Piano technology.

Functional Style

The DP-990F impresses with its sleek, modern-furniture-like design, featuring a solid, soft-close safety lid that can be used as a music rest when opened and as a flat surface when closed. This instrument's Satin Black finish enhances any environment it’s placed in.

Authentic Grand-Piano Feel

The DP-990F is equipped with Roland’s acclaimed PHA II keyboard with Escapement. The keyboard yields a heavier touch in the lower range and lighter touch in the upper, providing lighter resistance for pianissimo passages and stronger resistance for fortissimo. The escapement architecture of the DP keys reproduces the characteristic “click feel” of a grand piano for the ultimate in realistic performance and expression.

USB Enhanced

USB compatibility opens a world of exciting add-ons and extra functionality to the DP-990F. Play along with audio files or Standard MIDI files directly from a USB key, or layer pre-recorded music from a commercially available audio CD with your performance by connecting a USB CD drive (Roland CD-01A, optional). Your audience won’t believe how much music is coming from a single instrument.

New Twin-Piano Mode

The “Twin Piano” function allows you to split the keyboard left and right into two regions, each with its own middle “C” and damper pedal. Two players wearing headphones can then play completely independently without hearing one another (Individual Twin-Piano), a powerful application for “partner” lessons or piano labs.

The Casio AP-420 is a great digital piano.
This Casio Celviano AP-420 is a piano first, keyboard second.  By that, we mean that this piano has the features you want out of a piano: a good sound, a smooth, weighted feel, and a nice looking cabinet.  When you add the digital features (headphone option, USB and MIDI jacks for computer connectivity, SD card recording options, etc.) this piano outperforms any acoustic piano for the same money.  Add in a few bonuses like a built-in metronome, no tuning or scheduled maintenance, and a quality digital piano makes great sense.

So why the AP-420?  The Casio Celviano AP-420 is about value.  We regularly recommend this piano to customers in our store for the above reasons.  We like it because the feel is very good, comparable to much more expensive digital pianos and a very good simulation of a real piano feel.  The sound and speakers are also much better than other digitals in its price range, but the sampled sounds may not be as textured and rich as digitals designed for professional recording.  But then it is a home model.  We keep in mind the piano's purpose.  The Casio Celviano AP-420 is a great starter piano for your home.

The model includes a matching height-adjustable bench.  Black not available in US.

Bosendorfer 5'8" Model 170
Beauty of sound cannot be measured in centimeters.  The 170 model, the smallest of Bosendorfer's grand pianos, is specially designed for smaller living spaces – which means you can even enjoy the inimitably rich sound of a Bosendorfer at home. But what does small mean?

The 170 model weighs 314 kilograms and has dimensions of 146 x 170 centimeters. A formidable presence.
This piano is built by hand using the highest-quality materials. The sound quality in the bass, in particular, and the range of tonal colors are exceptional for a piano of this size. Its action allows the fastest of repetitions and it has a very precise playing feel.

The 170 model is traditionally finished in highly polished black but can also be finished in a variety of veneers including bird's eye maple, burr walnut, amboyna, rosewood, pyramid mahogany, pommele or any other desired finish.

And the most beautiful thing of all: it is a Bosendorfer.
