We sell and service many institutional pianos and for their needs, the grand piano stage dolly by Jansen is our first choice.  A stage dolly will allow you to regularly move your piano freely, safely, and with less wear and tear.  Still, a stage dolly in an investment that you will make one time and then, like most people, you will forget about it.  For this reason, we recommend this piano dolly for its high-quality and low-maintenance. These piano dollies are appropriate for nearly all concert grand pianos approximately 9' in length.  The radial arms extend to get the right fit.  In most cases, the stage dolly is replacing casters less than 3" in diameter.  In this case, you need #6544 In rare cases, if the stage dolly is used to replace large locking brass casters then you will need #6544R.  Model #6544R has arms that compensate for the height difference made by these extra-large casters (like the ones pictured).   If you are unsure of your order, please contact us. For most uses, we recommend upgrading to the locking casters on each wheel.  This secures the piano even during an energetic performance.0.252734

Hidrau Model, or HM, has been manufacturing many of the finest piano benches in Europe for years.  Now available in the U.S.A., these contemporary style benches are quickly becoming the most sought after for their purposeful and clean design, their sturdy construction, and their luxurious comfort. With this design, height adjustments are quick and easy by controlling a lever.  There are no knobs that stick out, no complex mechanism to service, no linkage that causes the bench to wobble or rock over time.  This bench is also longer (30") than standard artists benches (often room for two).  The height range is over 5" when most good artist benches have a range of 3".  They are perfect for performance halls, for teaching studios (where student after student needs a different height), and they are also great for European uprights like Seiler, Schimmel, and C. Bechstein that tend to have a higher key height. Metal Construction, no wobbly legs Silent Mechanism High density foam cushion for support Rounded edges for comfort Vinyl Upholstery, stonger than leather and easier to care for No knobs, quick lever operation No wobbling or rocking screw-type mechanism Height ranges from 18.25" to 23.5" Weighs a moderate 32 lbs *The HM Hydraulic bench is actually a misnomer.  It uses a superior Pneumatic mechanism with compressed air to facilitate height adjustments.  Similar Hydraulic piano benches from other manufacturers use fluid mechanisms that, if they fail, can leave an oily mess.0.1781232
