• Most grand pianos owned by teachers, musicians, devoted amateurs, and small performance venues are in this size range.  The size makes for a well-balanced musical instrument with nearly all the capabilities of a concert grand.
• Some students and performers will outgrow a baby grand piano, but they will not outgrow a good quality mid-sized grand piano.  Every year, we see this happen many times because either the student exceeded expectations, or the original purchase was too conservative.
• Bigger doesn't necessarily mean louder.  Mid-sized grand pianos have a greater overall dynamic range than baby grand pianos, so that you can better play both louder & softer.
• DON'T BE AFRAID OF THE SIZE!  Most rooms will accommodate a mid-sized grand piano and are better off for it.  We employ experience and common sense when helping a customer choose the correct size.  In the long run, people do not feel their piano is too big, but they may regret purchasing one that is too small.
