The Casio AP-420 is a great digital piano.  This Casio Celviano AP-420 is a piano first, keyboard second.  By that, we mean that this piano has the features you want out of a piano: a good sound, a smooth, weighted feel, and a nice looking cabinet.  When you add the digital features (headphone option, USB and MIDI jacks for computer connectivity, SD card recording options, etc.) this piano outperforms any acoustic piano for the same money.  Add in a few bonuses like a built-in metronome, no tuning or scheduled maintenance, and a quality digital piano makes great sense.

So why the AP-420?  The Casio Celviano AP-420 is about value.  We regularly recommend this piano to customers in our store for the above reasons.  We like it because the feel is very good, comparable to much more expensive digital pianos and a very good simulation of a real piano feel.  The sound and speakers are also much better than other digitals in its price range, but the sampled sounds may not be as textured and rich as digitals designed for professional recording.  But then it is a home model.  We keep in mind the piano's purpose.  The Casio Celviano AP-420 is a great starter piano for your home.

The model includes a matching height-adjustable bench.  Black not available in US.
